Pikeville High School Engineering IV students presented their class Capstone Project to representatives of the UK Pigman College of Engineering, Lighthouse Beacon Foundation, school administration, and former students currently enrolled in engineering programs at the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Vanderbilt University.

Each student team had to present a solution to an identified challenge of their choosing within the templates and guidance of the University of Kentucky Engineering program. Students were required to provide data based on research, custom programming, and engineered prototypes of their solution.

In addition to the feedback provided by representative of the Lighthouse Beacon Foundation and Pigman College of Engineering, former Pikeville High School students were able to not only provide feedback but share their experiences, insight, and encouragement to these future engineers.
