Good afternoon Panther Family! As you may or may not be aware, one of our neighboring districts sadly lost a student and classmate earlier this week. In remembering and honoring the life of Carissa, a student at Johnson County Middle School, their school system will be wearing pink on Monday, August 17th. In support of her family, the students, faculty, staff and families of their school district, we will have Pink Day across Pikeville Independent Schools on Monday as well. We encourage our students, staff, families and community to join us in wearing your pink in memory of Carissa. We continue to be in prayer for her family, friends, classmates, educators, and all others who hurt as a result of such a great loss. We hope you have a safe and blessed evening!

Good afternoon Panther Families! Our final bus arrived back to the lot at 4:15 today, which was very impressive for day one! A few delays as we adjusted some routes, but an outstanding job by our amazing transportation team, as well as our PES and PHS front office staffs, faculty, staff and administration. Thank you for your patience in drop off and pick up today at our schools. A quick internet outage delayed our parent line at PES for just a few moments, so we thank our technology team for their quick response. Expect delays for the next few days as we have an increase in the number of kids using parent line. Overall, we had an amazing first day in our district! Thank you to our families and communities for your support and cooperation we receive daily! We hope you have a safe and blessed evening!

REMINDER: If you still have a textbook or calculator, plan on bringing them to school tomorrow! We still have several calculators out from summer ACT/SAT that need to be returned! Thank you and we look forward to the upcoming school year!!

6th Grade Physical Exams on the KY required medical form are due to PES as we go back to school. Also up to date immunization records. You may drop them off during Open House Tuesday Aug. 11th or PES Office. (Reminder Athletics Physical forms due not qualify for this requirement)

Pick up your athletic passes in the front office of PHS, or stop by our Athletic Department tent at Meet The Panthers on Saturday!

Good morning! In order to support KinderCamp and PHS registration day, the Pikeville Independent Schools district office will be closed today. Payments and other business that needs to be addressed can still be completed online, dropped in the box at the front door, or can be made at Pikeville High School. The office will reopen on Wednesday for all business. Thank you for your understanding as we do this work to prepare for a smooth start to the school year! We hope you have a safe and blessed day!

⏰ Please note: Some registration stations may be unavailable during the lunch hour (1:00–2:00 p.m.).

What to Expect:

✅ Complete Student Registration (available online before you arrive!)
Students and families are encouraged to complete online enrollment in advance to save time. Devices and staff will also be available during Registration Day for anyone who needs assistance.

✅ Complete Required Registration Stations
Pay tuition, fees, and any lunch charges
Complete lunch and nurse forms

🎓 Student schedules will be distributed once all required registration steps have been completed.

🚗 Parking Passes
Students who have requested a parking permit may pick up their parking pass during Registration Day. Please be sure to bring all required documentation to receive your permit.

We hope you're having an amazing summer! As we prepare for another outstanding year at Pikeville High School, we want to share a few important dates coming up over the next few weeks.

🎓 Student Orientation
Orientation is designed to help students feel confident, connected, and prepared for the new school year. Our first 7th Grade Orientation session is set for Tuesday, July 21st, from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM we'll then welcome our second 7th Grade Orientation session on Tuesday, July 30th in the morning, followed by 9th Grade & New Student Orientation in the afternoon.

📝 Registration Day
Join us on August 4th, from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM to complete registration, pay fees, submit required forms, and receive student schedules. Families are encouraged to complete online registration before arriving, and staff will be available to assist anyone needing support.

🚗 Student Parking
Parking requests will be completed online beginning with Seniors on the designated request dates. Visit bit.ly/phs-parking or the Pikeville High School Student Parking Request page on our website to submit your request, view the parking map, and find additional information.
