Good evening! The main parking lot at Pikeville High School will close today and be closed the remainder of the week. Those who have business at PHS can park in the auditorium parking lot. Those who are using the city facilities and have scheduled activities through them can park at the baseball field, the Farmers Market or in the PHS Auditorium parking lot.
Just a reminder, the Dead Period begins at midnight tonight. ALL athletic facilities owned by Pikeville Independent Schools will be closed and unavailable for use, and all Pikeville Independent Schools teams will have no further activities until July 10th.
Also, please download the new app “Pikeville Independent School” if you have not done so already and turn on notifications, as all communication will transition to that app beginning June 30th. We look forward to the experience with this new communication tool.
We hope you have a blessed evening!
Reminder that beginning June 25th through July 9th, will be the KHSAA mandated Dead Period!
Due to the limited activity and opportunity to attend to various maintenance and custodial needs, there will be limited front office availability throughout the Dead Period.
-- ALL Athletic Facilities will be CLOSED! As a result of this closure, our custodial and maintenance staff will be conducting their cleaning, sealing, and other maintenance needs during this time in our facilities.
-- NO contact between athletes and school personnel (paid or volunteer) may take place during the Dead Period.
For more information please refer to KHSAA Bylaw 24 (Sec. 3): "Summer Dead Period": https://khsaa.org/common_documents/handbook/bylaws.pdf
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our coaches for your commitment and investment to our students, athletes for your grit and determination, and families for your unending support of our students and programs!! Thank you for another great year of athletic excellence added to the rich tradition of Pikeville High School! Please enjoy a well-deserved time of rest as we prepare for another incredible year of Pikeville Athletics!

Thank you to the Pikeville Fire Department for their help in cleaning our parking lot after the minor flooding this weekend. It looked very dirty on Saturday, but looks great today. Truly thankful for such great community partners and heroes!

This is one of our favorite nights of the year. We love having our families in the building to see the outstanding work of our Pikeville Elementary and Pikeville High School students. Such an impressive snapshot of the work that takes place in our classrooms and after school here in the district. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students, thank you to our faculty and staff for the wonderful work they do, and to our students who come in every day ready to grow and find their paths to success. We are proud of our Panthers!
